Nic Cage Buys a Pyramid
 

Debt-ridden actor Nicolas Cage has gone and made another ridiculous purchase. And this one -- unlike his dinosaur skull and expensive collection of shrunken heads -- he won’t even be able to enjoy during his lifetime.

TMZ reports Cage requested a 9-foot tall pyramid-shaped tomb be erected in a New Orleans cemetery to serve as his final resting place.

You can take the sprawling mansions and luxury cars away from the man, but you can’t take the man away from his compulsive spending.


Most recently Cage’s Bel Air mansion was sent to the auction block because he owed more than $17 million on the property that he bought for $6.5 million in 1998.

In October he claimed to have been led "down a path toward financial ruin" by his manager. This was after news broke that he owed $6 million in back taxes.


But the biggest casualty of the actor’s even-worsening financial situation may have been a stunning, 18th Century castle near Bath, England, that he was forced to sell.

Maybe if Cage’s new superhero flick “Kick-Ass” does well this weekend he can buy some more tchochkes instead of paying off his debt or making sound investments.
