Park Overall running for senate

Park Overall, an activist and veteran actress of such shows as Empty Nest, Ladies Man and the Critic, announced yesterday that she is running to become a U.S. Senator from Tennessee on the Democratic ticket.

The seat is currently held by freshman Senator and Republican Bob Corker. Corker won the seat in 2006 by defeating Harold Ford 51%-48% to replace the retiring Senate Majority Leader, Republican Bill Frist.

Corker is one of those worthless right-wingers. Votes the party line, ignores his constituents.

The RNC's tactic in 2006 was to run race-baiting ads against Ford (a black or half-black man), which likely did give him the extra couple of percentage points. The full writeup is on Wikipedia (here).

Lamar Alexander is the other Senator in TN -- he's even more useless.
