What kind of retirement plans do you got at work?

401K
457
etc.

Aslo what do you put in yours a week or every 2 weeks?

Where I work, I have a great company matching 401K and a pension. It's nice because not too many companies offer a pension anymore. The company will match 6% of your paycheck, so I put that amount into my 401K every two weeks. I was lucky as I have two pensions. My last company I became vested only a couple months before my job was eliminated, so I will be able to pull a pension from there as well. Only had 5 years in, so it won't be all that much, but hey, it is better than nothing :) I rolled that 401K into a IRA as I didn't find my new job in time to roll it into my current 401K. Now I've been at my new job for almost 4 years and am just about vested here too. You can never plan too far ahead for your retirement. I'm not the kind of person who is going to hope that social security and the government are there to bail me out in old age. I set my first 401k up when I was 18. It's too bad many young people don't understand the ramifications of retirement earlier. My father harped on me forever explaining why I needed to do it. Just another reason I believe my father is the wisest person on the planet (and I'm 30 years old).
