1ST CPS SERVER MOVE COMPLETED !!!

The site was down for 2 days, and I'm in a rather bad mood, but it seems to finally be up again. Not how I planned to spend my weekend.

The site was moved to a new hardware and platform setup. If anything has quit working here, let me know.

We lost 2 posts during the move, which is actually quite good. The other 13,000+ are all still here. If it was your post that was lost, just redo it.

Chat seems to be okay, from my test just now.

Alrighty, as long as chat works. That's all that counts lol! Now go have yourself a beer and a nap. :)

Was in chat 4 times between 11:30-11:45 and it dumped out each time to where we can see the CPS board (you know the standard when chat craps out screen)

wayshway 02-19-2006 11:56 PM

YAY!!! It's back up. :)

Hmm, the Active Topics selection is a little wonky - the last two times I've accessed the site, I've selected that from the main page, and gotten no new messages - because the time showing as my last visit is when I clicked on the Active Topics selection from the main page, not my last actual visit to the page.

Wee Wee pee pee ROTFLMAO!

I believe the chat is a server/hosting related problem. We are on a Win2K3 server now and they are more strict/picky about resources (a good thing).

Unfortunately, it's terminating the chat. I'll get with LS and see if we can figure this out. Just hang in there.

Thats a technical term. People are going to start getting withdrawal symptoms :) Where are my anti-shake pills.

lordsmurf 02-22-2006 04:22 AM

I've personally wasted 6 days of free time so far with little results to show.

onlyemokid 02-22-2006 05:35 AM

:( sorry.. anything we can do

lordsmurf 02-22-2006 05:37 AM

The only thing anybody can do for me is not e-mail with "where's my trade" as I'm clearly busy. It's not DVDs, but I'm still doing my best to help you.

onlyemokid 02-22-2006 06:40 AM

:( i haven't done that! awww :(

actually, I haven't lol..

There is a glitch in the Calander forum. Whenever I enter a item in I get this:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Cannot insert explicit value for identity column in table 'FORUM_CAL_EVENTS' when IDENTITY_INSERT is set to OFF.

/cartoons/cal_post_info2.asp, line 66

And It doesnt get entered into the calander.

I've reported the error to allaboutduncan, he fixes SQL errors.
Thanks.

Anyway...
Because this topic was about the now-finished 1ST server move, I'm locking it.
