are damaged/dysfunctional or surrounded by death?

brady bunch-both widows
partridge family-widow
courtship of eddies father widow-
webster-parents died
silver spoons-mother abandoned ricky
8 is enough-widow
good times, father died
Alice- she was a widow with a 12 year old son
Wasn't empty nest, wasn't he a widow?
Archie Bunkers place ? Widow
Gimmie a break- Widow
Sanford and Son....Widow?
Chico and the man---Ed was the widow
Diffrent Strokes-Widow

Those are interesting coincidences, I never really thought about those type things within a show enough to notice, but interesting nonetheless.
