Free Gaming Weekend starts 8-24
 

I don't know anything about this since I've never had access to this DirecTV pay channel, but this weekend they're having a free gaming weekend starting Fri. 8-24 at 2 P.M. ET. It's the Game channel --- DTV channels 259 and 289.

Their descriptions:
"Game Lounge is an exciting new game service. Play fun games like Sudoku, Poker, and Bejeweled from your couch! Available now for select receivers and coming soon for more. All games are played using your remote."
"Play the most popular word, puzzle, card, and casino games like Bejeweled, Sudoku, Poker and Scrabble using only the remote."

I don't know how this works or anything else about it but I thought it might be of interest to someone here. My wife figures she'll check it out just to see what the deal is.
