20¢ listing fees on eBay, one day only! (Feb 13)

Today (or in a few hours, for some of you) -- Feb 13 -- all auction listings will be just 20 cents. I've got a bunch of crap laying around that I've wanted to sell for a while now, but several bucks each was not too fun. Now there's no real risk to trying. I can do two dimes!

I'm shocked SHOCKED that they are actually reacting to the strike.

I for one think it is rediculous that you (as a seller) can no longer leave feedback for the buyer. What the heck is with that?

konfusion 02-14-2008 05:17 PM

you cant leave feedback for the buyer? thats pretty stupid. so a non paying buyer gets no neg feedback?

lordsmurf 02-15-2008 01:19 AM

eBay cancelled an auction of mine just now because I used a "spammy keyword".
Assgobbling bastards.

I wish they'd go bankrupt and/or be sued for millions of dollars.

I wish google would jump on the auction thing.

Assgobbling. That's awesome!! [88][88][88]
May they choke on a big turd. [88][88]

You can leave feedback. Just not negative feedback. They shifted all the power to the buyer.

Tcel93 02-15-2008 08:06 AM

That's the same as leaving no feedback at all. What a joke. Now I know why Ebay sucks, If you are a seller that is.

I've also heard that they might starting charging the buyers a small fee for the use of their services. :(

Tcel93 02-18-2008 10:57 PM

I think they are pushing it too far. If they start charging buyers, I think they will see the userbase start to shrink. People only put up with so much garbage, then they defect. I think google is keeping a very close eye on the situation.

konfusion 02-19-2008 05:05 AM

lol. before i would just hijack sales. meaning ill search for things i would sell and message all the bidders on someones item and tell them i had the same item but would charge maybe a 1$ less. i was doing this with music cds and would end up selling to about 3-4 bidders on the item. i would just PM them on ebay and have them email me or just send the money straight to the paypal address i would provite them.
