DreamWorks Sticking with HD DVD
DreamWorks Animation intends to continue releasing its product exclusively on the HD DVD format, despite Toshiba's recent decision to abandon the technology, Reuters reported earlier this week.
DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg says that the studio will respect its contract with Toshiba, which requires the studio to support the HD DVD format exclusively. Other HD DVD-exclusive studios have already said they will switch to Sony's Blu-ray. |
whats the point of that? lets see how much money they make doing that.

Sounds pointless.

They won't make HD-DVDs, because that'd be pointless. Though I think that they can't go to Blu-Ray because they got 150 million to be with HD-DVD. Unless Toshiba does something nice. Unless though, the contract does say to release HD-DVDs every so and often, I don't think they'll release any. They just can't make the switch.

Possibly a power play, to get Blu-Ray to pony up some funds. Or so I read.

They are just being retarded. :D
