The Texiera deal interests me. Judging from past years, Yankees seem to buy players on their way down. Does this mean Tex is slumping in his game? Did they buy yet another player on hopes of improvement? Hopes of them playing like they did 5-10 years ago?
I hate the Yankees, so I'm all for them losing. I liked Tex, however. |
[u]Giants</u> sign free agent Randy Johnson to a one year deal worth $8 million.
[u]Reds</u> sign free agent Willy Taveras to a 2 year deal. |
Randy Johnson moves? Interesting how some big players are shuffling.

With the Yankees acquiring C.C. Sabathia & A.J. Burnett, the starting rotation looks solid. Picture it, Chen Meng Wang, C.C. Sabathia, A.J. Burnett, Phil Hughes, and Andy Pettitte pitching the yanks past the hated Bo Sox and into the playoffs. We finally sealed the hole on the team which has kept us from being in the series.
Texiera to the Yanks came out of nowhere, just when it seemed as though he'd sign with Boston (ala A-ROD), the yanks pull a rabbit out of the hat, and get their man. Couple the teams already impressive roster with these new additions, and I'd say we can expect to see the Yanks back in the A.L.C.S. (AT LEAST). Ah, it's great to be a Yankee fan (which I AM). |
your not a dodger fan?
|
Yes, I am. But after watching the Yankees reach the post season for well over a decade, I became a fan of theirs too. I only wish the Dodgers had the Steinbrenners as their owners instead of the McCourt, we'd have 2-3 more championships with the Steinbrenners as owners.
