Who else knows some good places to buy anime? Especially HONG KONG stuff, complete with English subs. Feel free to add in your suggestions and reviews on good stores. Thanks!

NOTE!!! Some of the links if older posts are dead. Those stores appear to be gone. (I'm sad to see ChibiTokyo out of business.)

This site also tries to maintain a list of anime stores:

www.animeniacs.com (Very nice people, great to deal with, have bought from on many occasions)

www.animekrazy.com (Have dealt with them as well, no problems at all)

www.pokerindustries (Have never dealt with these guys, but they have a ton of stuff, including live action, but read before you buy because a lot of their stuff is region encoded for those of you who don't have region free players)

www.chibitokyo.com (They don't carry anything Hong Kong or region free, but they do carry music for cheap as well as a lot of toys, they're based out of Atlanta and they're really nice people, great to buy from)

www.importanime.com (Have never bought from them, you have to sign up as a member to buy from them, but the really neat thing is they are a reference site with reviews from fans on the subtitles, transfer quality, audio, stry, and show in general form the diferent importers. This site if used properly can save you from buying a poorly done copy)

I just found this site: http://www.buyritedvd.com/ it has a good anime dvd section among other stuff (Beware adult titles as well, though in their own section) this is a wholesaler website supposedly. minimum order is $100.00 I haven't tried them yet.

animeniacs, best one out there. Most established. Then again just try this 50+ website links of stores... http://www.hkdvdsellers.net/
I believe that, 695 is the cheapest.

I used to by all my stuff wholesale from Anime Palace.
Levon is a really nice guy and carries lots of stuff. No Hong Kong Bootlegs.

Unfortunately his webpage sucks.

You should probably give him a call. Let me know if you do and I'll let him know that you are a friend so I see if I can get you a discount.

I dealt with these guys twice now with no problems (this is when i was still working 40 hours and had some money), I had originally found them off ebay and the reason why was that they had the getter robo tv complete box (whole series, pressed disc, dual layered and decent english subtitles). That box came out around 2002 and then China had a piracy crackdown, set disappeared and showed finally up again this past December.

Turns out they have a website and are based in the UK, link is below. I have since ordered quite a bit as they have a number of titles with english subs, dubs or both
