Hi, I am searching for a PBS Special produced by Tennessee PBS entitled "Memories of Opryland". Please let me know if you have this or can get it. I would appreciate any assistance in this matter. Thanks Stoogedog

When did this air? I'll assume it was on NPT (Nashville PBS).

hi LS, yes it was produced by Nashville Public Television and aired for the first time on November 30, 2008. i would assume that public libraries in Tennessee, especially in the Nashville area may have it. please let me know if you can help. thanks stoogedog

I see a 6-min version on Youtube.

And then you can get the DVD for a $75 donation to WNPT: http://wnpt.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=158
http://wnpt.org/productions/memories...deo/index.html -- Or so it says ... I didn't actually see the DVD as one of the options?

I don't see it in the libraries online catalogs.

You can always ask the Program Manager, Justin Harvey at jharvey[at]wnpt.net or (615) 259-9325, for the various ways to buy/rent/borrow a DVD of it. Maybe even ask about future air dates?

hi LS, thanks for the info. yes i know about the dvd for the $75.00 donation, but that is too steep for me right now. thanks for the youtube clip. MAN! what memories. we went to opryland just about every summer for years. the rides were awesome. some of the best in the world. i even worked at opryland one summer while i was a student at MTSU. i hated when they closed it. if you come across the dvd, please let me know. thanks stoogedog

I'll see if it's even available through an interlibrary loan program.

A lot of films and videos are strictly on-campus (college libraries) or on-premises (at library branch) use. I used the program to track down a rare book I wanted to read about 3-4 years ago, and it was amazingly available for check-out, not just on-premise use.

Tomorrow they're replaying Nashville: The 20th Century in Photographs
More on that one at http://www.wnpt.org/productions/memo...tos/index.html
I'll be recording both parts for myself.

This one originally aired in 2009, too. So there's always a chance that the Opryland one may be re-broadcasted!
Watch the schedule every few weeks: http://www.wnpt.org/schedule/new - I have NPT and NPT2, both in HD.
I see nothing right now, through Aug 25.

In case you've not found it yet.

You're welcome, I've noticed a few quirks on Amazon. Sometimes I'll search the Amazon site and find nothing. Then I'll use a search engine and then it'll show up on Amazon.
