i ripped a dvd and then opened the rip up in dvd shrink. this is what i see:

as you can see from the image, multiple titles are grouped together by DVD Shrink.

title 1 is the film itself which i don't want to shrink.

i want to shrink all the other titles, which are the extras.

so, how would i shrink just those extras, using DVD Shrink, if i'm faced with this situation?

i want to keep everything as is, ie same menus and so on, but just shrink the extras so everything fits a +5 dvd.

anyone here have any ideas?

You probably can't.

hmm, thought so.

i did it the hard way.

took snapshots of all the menus.
demuxed all the titles.

then authored a new dvd with above resources.
and then used DVDShrink to squeeze the extras!

DVDFab could see the individual titles, but it doesn't allow individual title shrinking.

is there any other app that does the job?

Heres a shot but you may be able to extract clicking the reauthor button, add title and trim what you want with the start and finishing point.

The "titles" share a VTS, so separate shrinking may not be possible.

(NOTE: What I just said may not be correct, as I'm still not exactly sure why this is happening -- I'd have to see the entire original disc, and look at it in various software, like PgcEdit, to see what's going on here.)

I'm not big on spending lots of time or effort on simple duplication/backup type video work. That's why they make DVD+R DL, as far as I'm concerned.

But good luck, all the same!
