Does anyone know where I can get a free download of winzip. I was on the phone with tech support and after the woman too control of my computer-started writing on my screen-said I needed a new winzip my computer was old. I told her it is not old my parent just bought it for my last birthday
Thanks

That woman is a moron. There's no reason to upgrade Winzip. She sounds like one of those stupid upgrade junkies. Just ignore her. Not to mention that Windows comes with zip support natively built into the OS now anyway, and has for years.

I use WinRAR and 7zip anyway -- Winzip is crappy compared to those.

Oh I know-I thought she was a crack head. I called back, and talked to some guy that kept me on the line for 3 hrs lol. I finally found out I had to get a new cd mailed to me for my scanner. I was wanting to scan my pix from Destin Fl.

Just go with Winrar. You can get it over at CNET
http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR-32-b...-10007677.html

Just ignore and bypass the 'donate trial window' that pops up when you use it.
