Hey yall! Havent been on here in a long time. I need your help.

I have Dish DVR and a SONY DVD recorder. What do I have to do to get at least 4-5 episodes per disc? They are episodes I havent seen, I dont mind putting commercials because I can just fast forward them. I dont want to have to sit there watching it record becasue I'd rather watch it on DVD. Whats the best way?

Thanks!

4-5 episodes? How long are the episodes?

You really do NOT want more than 2 hours per disc, from a Sony recorder.
Otherwise it will be blocky, and look like crap. (And if you ever want to trade any of it with other collectors, they'll want high quality, not over-compressed sloppy recordings.)

best thing to do is use a dvdrw disc and record in sp mode whatever you can fit before the disc runs out which is 2hr10min

put them on the computer and remove the commercials with mpgvcr and then you can fit 5 episodes per disc with 0 compression. most 30min shows are 22min or so
