Character actor Norman Alden, who voiced Aquaman on the iconic 1970s SuperFriends series, has died, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 87. Alden, whose IMDb page lists 237 titles to his credit, performed mostly in a series of one-time appearances in live-action TV shows. He made his debut in 1957 and worked steadily for the next three decades. His last credited appearance, according to IMDb, was in the 2006 TV movie Our House. He also appeared in numerous movies, including Ed Wood and Back to the Future. Besides SuperFriends, he lent his voice to Rugrats, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, and The Transformers: The Movie. He also appeared in Disney’s The Sword in the Stone.
