After a very long wait, i finally got myself an iMac. I got it through this funding towards my course and i a loving it.

Its got a 27 inch LCD screen, 2560 x 1440 resolution. 2.9 ghz intel core processor, a NVIDIA Geforce GTX graphic card and a 1TB hard drive.

I've been waiting for this mac for ages and the best thing is, that it will be an enormous help towards doing dvd sets and my film pro ducting. I can't wait to use it properly, especially doing colour grading. Thought i shout about it...

Nice, isn't it?

I don't use mine for DVD authoring, however. Windows XP native programs are much better for that. Even Blu-ray authoring is better on Windows XP, Vista, or 7.

But it's really useful for video production.

Yep, it's brilliant for video editing. Already got da vinci resolve on it and I am loving the aspect of downloading applications, the mac has got really good apps. Some are quite helpful for the set creator, the best thing is the screen, i can do my work 10x better now.
