Ok here is the original Big Man On Campus Laser Disc to DVD
https://youtu.be/H_s_Yzviby4

Here is encode sample 1
I converted this- filters- encoded high bit rate blu ray mpeg2 2:2 pulldown-telecine 720p
6mb the finished file is 5.8 gigs (yip a bloated encode )

- TMPEG Video Mastering Suite /sony- Vegas 14 and premier-
the audio is now 5.1 instead of stereo
very little crop and padding - color correction, noise reduction , smart sharp-
I forget the other filters in vegas .. I use vegas 14 for certain things not in Tmpeg that does a nice job.
Adobe for others..Premier takes forever for one filter

sample 2
https://youtu.be/Z9pqQInAtbM

4:3 WS (fake widescreen )
The aspect is intact- video not stretched at all- ( infact all 3 encodes I made sure it was not stretched- It has some trimming and light padding

with a a few filters from Vegas - Has a great Deinterlace filter that is not part of Tmpeg- This was encoded as standard mpeg2 - 16:9 Display with 4X3 aspect I prefer this one. It is not dvd quality but it is far better than VHS too. If this guy is not happy I ll refund his money and he can go to hell

I spent a lot of time working on this to produce a nice quality WS conversion of 4X3 movie for him. Btw thanks for help guys So what do you guys prefer? You know my answer I like original as is - But as far as encodes no 2 is my favorite

Suggestions? opinions.. Let the beatings begin

Youtube compression makes it hard to tell what's going on quality-wise.
