Hi guys and girls, does anyone have the TV series called Eyes? Tim Daly was the lead, and I believe there was only 12 eps shown.

Great show! Sadly, ABC canned it after only 5 or 6 episodes. But it did eventually air on DirecTV's in-house channel, The 101. They ran all but one episode, so if memory serves, there were actually 13 episodes produced, but to date only 12 have aired in the U.S. If anyone managed to get HD caps of those DirecTV broadcasts, I'd sure love to hear about it.

direcTV compresses their stream before it hits your box then compresses it again before it gets pushed out to your tv which means a really really crappy source copy.

True today, but not back in their heyday. Their broadcasts of EYES looked quite nice. I think their signal issues started when AT&T bought them out.

I have several different copies. Got fullscreen SD caps from the original ABC run. Then I got anamorphic widescreen SD caps scaled down from the HD broadcasts on The 101. Finally, I have windowboxed copies of studio color correction masters of all 13 episodes, SD quality.

I double checked my recordings, and realized that I was mistaken in some of the info I posted previously. There were only 12 produced episodes of EYES, not 13. Some sources did cite a 13th episode titled "Police," but there is no indication that such an episode was actually produced, and this may just be an alternate title for the episode "Burglary." Anyway, ABC aired 5 episodes before canceling the series. A few years later DirecTV's The 101 aired the entire 12-episode run, but I missed the episode "Art." So I have anamorphic copies of 11 episodes, and a letterboxed print of one.
