This series only went 3 seasons with the story line wandering off like all the other sci-fi series, but I really like it. I rank it up there with Firefly and a lot better than many others.
I liked the first season of "Dark Matter." I loved Season Two. The writing was tighter, the further development of characters was handled with great skill, the direction was smoother, and the entire season's narrative was consistent - unlike the first season. I was especially impressed with the way the writers gave every character in the ensemble cast a chance to be showcased. I also enjoyed the twists in the narrative. (I won't go into detail about those twists because that could spoil the enjoyment for those that have not seen the series. Suffice it to say that in some of them good guys turn out to be, well, not so good and some bad guys turn out to be a little less so...) The CGI is well done and used to enhance the narrative, not overwhelm it. That's a major plus in my opinion. An excellent season and one that was so well done that I've ordered Season Three.
Not going to write a college essay, But amazing show, I've watched literally every Gundam show beside build fighters. This ranks right up In my top five. Yes it's different than the rest, but it's a good different. Excellent Blu ray copy, quality Is great. Would highly recommend to any Gundam fans.
The elements for a successful science fiction series is a great ensemble of actors, a good story line, believable special effects and somebody who knows what good editing can do to make a great show. Unfortunate it must be the same formula the SyFy channel uses to cancel said TV series. I loved everything about "Dark Matter" except the part where SyFy leaves us in the lurch once again with no closure, no season renewal.
Great storyline, especially knowing it’s produced by the creators of the Stargate series. Solid, solid, such a solid TV Series, and too bad the show was cancelled long time ago right after the Third Season. They Up the game in this second season, leaving you wanting more. Worth the buy and collecting as a DVD or Blu-Ray Set.
Season Two did not disappoint. More action, twists and turns, mysteries and science-fiction. I am so looking forward to owning Season Three. It's Canadian, eh!
