Coach - The Complete Series

Incredible Guest Star appearances by: Troy Aikman, Mike Ditka, Frank Gifford, Johnny Unitas, Bobby Vinton and more

Starring: Craig T. Nelson, Shelley Fabares, Jerry Van Dyke

Co-Starring: Bill Fagerbakke, Clare Carey, Katherine Helmond

Team up with Craig T. Nelson in his Primetime Emmy role as Hayden Fox, the curmudgeonly coach of Minnesota State University's Screaming Eagles football team, as he tries to navigate his way through the sports world, fatherhood and family life without dropping the ball.

Coach Hayden Fox revolves his life around leading a university football team - and although his passion for the game is incredible, this passion can only go so far. Tensions rise on the home front with a partner that doesn’t share the same love for the game, thus leaving Hayden to escape his 'dumb jock' stereotype and present a caring, loving side for his friends and family, and most importantly, his 'little girl'.

Featuring: Craig T. Nelson (TV’s Parenthood), Shelley Fabares (TV’s One Day At A Time), Jerry Van Dyke (TV’s The Middle), Bill Fagerbakke (voice of “Patrick” on SpongeBob SquarePants), Clare Carey (TV’s Maid To Order)

Expect only the series with no bonus features and you won’t be disappointed

Expect only the series with no bonus features and you won’t be disappointed
It’s exactly what you would expect: the complete 9 season series. That’s it. If you’re okay with that, this set should more than satisfy you because that’s really the biggest problem I found with it. Have read reports of people complaining about the cardboard inserts that house the discs but apart from being a rather unorthodox way of presenting a complete TV series especially one running for 9 seasons, the discs stay secured pretty well. You might have to play a little tug-o-war with it to get each disc out actually. At least I did.Another problem I personally discovered was that they crammed the larger 20+ episode seasons onto 2 discs versus 3 or 4 so video quality may suffer from season to season as a result. Doubt many people will notice or care but I feel like it’s worth mentioning.Overall any problems I have are nitpicky things. Clearly Mill Creek was simply trying to get the series out there in physical form which I can admire them for and do it the most economical way possible which does rub me the wrong way a little bit but it is what it is.For $20 and some change, you can’t go wrong with this set if you’re a fan.
