What size paper do I need to print covers?

I usually use newegg to shop so if you have a link that would be great.
Thanks

Hammermill 8.5x14 28lb white ColorCopy paper, works well in inkjet printers and laser printers. Nice thick paper, holds color and ink/toner well, and is perfect for both single-sized DVDs and the larger box set style artwork.

This is what I use.

Don't buy those sucky pre-cut "DVD case" papers -- they are terrible, and usually don't fit correctly. Cut the good paper down to size. This works best for DVD case covers.

Crazy cheap deal for a whole box of Hammermill Color Copy paper at Amazon (4,000 sheets!):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B0002NV02C
$17 for paper + $69 shipping = $87 shipped

For smaller packages, buy in stores locally. It's not easy to find, see what OfficeDepot.com might have for site-to-store: http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/...type=3&subid=0
Or maybe OfficeMax.

The legal sized epson photopaper has been the best paper Ive found, looking as good as retail prints.

I bought HP Multipurpose 8.5 x 14 Paper so that I could print some cover art that was wide enough to completely fill a DVD case. I printed a cover art using my Hewlett Packard DeskJet 932C and setting the paper size to legal at best quality. The picture printed too big (length and width). When I would print using letter size paper (8.5 x 11), it wasn't wide enough but it fit lengthwise just fine. Does anybody know what settings to change so that it will print the right size?

It sounds like your software is picking a "fill paper" type print option. Be sure your software (Photoshop?) and printer are only printing true 1:1 size. Nothing larger or smaller.

I use Microsoft Image Composer. It's good enough for what little photo editing I do. I didn't see any of the options that you mentioned. I tried using Photoshop but I didn't see those options in Photoshop either.

Here are the options that I have. I can't change any of the options that are grayed out in the second pic.

I figured it out. I measured the artwork of a retail DVD, so that I could print artwork at that size. I opened the artwork to be printed with Photoshop and selected custom size in the print options. I printed it at 10.75 x 7.215 and it fits the DVD case just fine without being too small or too big.

See the "best fit" option up there? That's what did it.
