Who's recording Maverick with James Garner on TCM ?
 

anyone on TVP from UK and receiving TCM (on sky 317 or virgin 415)?

TCM is showing Maverick - 1950s/60s western - starring James Garner.

would be great to get a nice new set - the existing set floating around is a bit so-so.

perhaps someone could do this in return for something from me?

I'm certainly hoping they will! I recorded all of the episodes from Encore Westerns, but I never put together a set (haven't been doing sets for a while now). The remastering was gorgeous. One forgets just how lush black and white could be, and this series was really beautifully done. I'm keeping my recordings in case a full release doesn't happen, but I have no plans to transfer what I've got right now.

deb, i agree with you. just got hold of season 1. it is great. i love jimmy garner's type of laid back & humorous acting.

I have the recently issued complete 1st season on 7 discs (27 episodes 9/22/57 - 4/13/58).
