10 Female 80s Cartoons That Ushered Us Into Manhood

I came across this tonight while looking for images of "reporter Smurf" online. Found quite a few odd things. What is it with 80s pervs and Smurfs, anyway? Sheesh....

Check out this article: http://www.cracked.com/blog/mommy-im...-into-manhood/

CRACKED.COM -- need I say more? It's pretty warped and twisted. [88]

Quote:

Throughout the history of TV, cartoons have always been able to get away with a little more than their live action counterparts. That insulating shield of paint and ink seems to give the creators license to stretch, and sometimes to downright goatse, our notions of decency. The first show on TV to show a young boy spewing diarrhea onto his mother’s face was South Park, and there’s a reason for that. It just wouldn’t work on The Drew Carey Show, not even during their April Fool’s Day special. It’s the same reason the Road Runner cartoons of the 60’s sold so much better than actual footage of coyotes getting mangled to death.

Enter the late 80’s. It was a tender time in a young boy’s life. Our bodies were changing in strange, unsettling ways, and our parents, as usual, had failed us at every turn. Luckily, Television was there to do their job for them. Inside that glowing box we found a bounty of fictional vixen, drawn to exacting specifications and designed to fill us with feelings we wouldn’t understand until years later, when we spent the night at the house of the kid whose parents had the Spice Channel.
They have some provocative photos from their top 10 list:
  • Gadget from Chip N’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers
  • April from The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Cover Girl from G.I. Joe
  • Cheetara from Thundercats
  • Tarra from The Herculoids
  • Smurfette from The Smurfs
  • Daphne and Velma from Scooby Doo
  • Wonder Woman from Super Friends
  • Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Velma? VELMA? Really? Velma? ooooooooooook.

NOTE: If you check out the photo of Smurfette, they forgot to cover/censor her blonde bush. I have a full-sized version of this from the artist's original art site some many years ago. It's an amusing piece. :p

They forgot some:
  • Lynn Minmei from Robotech (remember the shower scene?!!)
  • She-Ra
  • Cleo from Heathcliff
  • Firestar from Spiderman & His Amazing Friends
  • Teela and Evil Lynn from He-Man
  • Princess Allura from Voltron (remember the bikini "oops" scene?!!)
On Robotech's original show "Macross" (the Japanese anime), you can watch the uncensored scenes. ;)

If that person is so hot for Velma, I wonder what he thinks of Olive Oil? [88]

Mariah Carey as smurfette = oddly hot.

On the Velma front, I was kinda into Linda Cardellini as Velma from the Scooby Doo movie. I don't see anything in the cartoon Velma, though.
