I was contacted by a GI Joe Fan site to start a DIC area using my set and knowledge of the show to fill the void on the net (have you searched for DIC GI Joe on google, its not pretty)

I have done 2 character profiles and a small FAQ but MUCH more will get added over the coming months.

If anyone is a fan I suggest you check it out, I know a bunch of people hate this show but I am going to at least give those small group of fans a chance to read about it.

Free host sites are doomed to fail eventually. It's too bad they're not hosted with their own domain name somewhere.

yeah I know, I have everything saved though. Just right now I dont have the time to manage my own site so since they offered I accepted.

I figure eventually since I have everything saved its just a copy/paste job since the forum code is similar to he-man.org and CPS. Kind of like how CPS had to die several times before someone finally decided to take it private and use a real server

All I will say is there is some interest, I am employing the She-Ra princess of power idea where you go directly to the fans. But the site is really just to fight back against ALL the Sunbow sites that trash the DIC series even though I know for a fact they have never seen the show and are basing it all on what they have "heard"

The site is actually pretty cool. A lotta Joe fans out there!

Well, if you can give it all to me, I can re-up the content to the forum, and then 301 the old URLs.

If content is large then I'll get your to re-up to the FTP. Then I can attach.

Or you can just attach it to a boatload of forum posts (new threads). Make a "master thread" to tie several together. I'm for whatever.

It's a shame for everything to just -poof- and vanish.
It's one reason I'm big on hosted sites, attaching files to the forum, etc. :)
