Spiderman 3

I just saw some news about Spiderman 3, and it says there will be 4 villains in the movie: Sandman, Hobgoblin, Vulture and Venom.

You guys think 4 villains is too many or not enough for a Comic book based movie? Also, who do you think should have been in Spiderman 3? Keep in mind how bad Batman and Robin was which had 3 villains (Bane, Poison Ivy and Mr Freeze).

I'd rather see Hobgoblin fighting with Green Goblin, as side story on which is the city's villain, with Spidery trying to topple both, and full of sarcasm as he makes fun of two baddies trying to outbad each other.

Venom or Vulture would be good as a small story.

No team-ups of villians. That is why Batman movies were killed.

They've stated (Raimi and Marvel) that they would not do that (use multiple villains). I think an official announcement is coming at San Diego this weekend. If what you say is true, it's more likely that Venom or some of the others will make cameos and be set up for future films (like the Lizard in the firt film).

Well so far they have signed Thomas Hayden Church to play a villain (no idea who it is) and they also signed Topher Grace (which from the looks of it might play Vulture).

I'd like to see the Shocker or Rhino as a villian.

How about Vemon and Carnage both

In batman, it wasn't so much the number of characters. It was a load of ****. The story and acting were rubbish as were the costumes. Bane was badly written.

Multiple enemies could work, they could do the sinister six. Maximum carnage would be interesting but then they would have to introduce lots of new heroes too.

The main problem with lots of baddies is that you don't have enough time to do a backstory to the characters and their development. Which is why sinister six and maximum carnage wouldn't work so well. The villains were introduced solo initially before teaming up.

I'm actually sick of having to see all these origin story movies. This was one reason I was rather fond of X-MEN and X2.

Any news on X-Men 3?

rmehta2 07-14-2005 03:23 PM

Last I Heard about Xmen 3:

Angel and Beast are confirmed. While Gambit is a maybe.

The villain(s) are gonna be Juggernaut and the Sentinels.

Here's the latest I've seen (no official announcement yet).

Citing unidentified sources, www.development-hell.com reports that an animated direct-to-video Spider-Man feature is in development, in time for release with Spider-Man 3, slated for release in Summer 2007.

The DTV will feature Spider-Man battling one of the upcoming movie's villains, The Chameleon. It is not known if the feature will be created in the style of Spider-Man: The New Animated Series or if it is one of the nine direct-to-DVD features that Marvel/Lion's Gate are currently developing.

Please note, this news is simply rumored at this time, and no official sources are available.
