Personality Returns to Television to Host "Funniest Moments"

Arsenio Hall has been named host of MyNetworkTV's new reality series, "Funniest Moments," (working title) announced the network's President, Greg Meidel. The program is scheduled to premiere in Fall 2008 on Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m. (ET/ PT).

In making the announcement, Meidel stated, "Bringing years of comedic experience and timing, both behind and in front of the camera, we are thrilled to welcome Arsenio to the MyNetworkTV schedule."

MyNetworkTV rides the wave of the exploding popularity of the You Tube and online video craze with a new weekly series capturing life's most outrageous moments caught on tape. The hour long program, "Funniest Moments," is produced by Associated Television International.

The versatile actor, comedian, and producer is best known as the host of the Emmy-Award winning late night talk show "The Arsenio Hall Show." Premiering on January 3, 1989, "The Arsenio Hall Show" virtually overnight, changed the face of late night television by captivating young viewers across the country. During his successful five-year run as Executive Producer, Arsenio provided a forum for cutting edge comedy, politics and the television debut of such pop superstars as Mariah Carey, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Boyz to Men, and countless others.

In 1998, Hall joined the cast of the CBS dramedy, "Martial Law," playing "Terrell Parker," a streetwise L.A.P.D. detective, for two years. He followed this up with a two-season stint as Host of the new "Star Search" (CBS). Film credits include "Amazon Women on the Moon" and "Coming to America" which he co-starred and co-wrote. "Most recently, Hall returned to stand-up comedy and toured for the first time in over a decade. He will also be featured in The Weinstein Company's upcoming animated film "Igor," which is scheduled for release in Fall, 2008.
