LD, CD, DVD Cleaner/Protector/Scratch Remover
 

Has anyone here used this product before? Is it safe? I just bought some to try it out. It looks promising...

I have never in all my life seen a "repair" device that does not ruin the media further. I would never use it. I would rip the disc to the hard drive and burn a new one. If the media is too far gone, I would pay a professional service about $25 to have the disc re-ground and re-buffed.

This is one reason you should have your collection in duplicate. Two of my friends and then various family members act as my backup, and then anything really important I have 2-3 copies of, some of which i put in a media safe.
