DVD Lab Pro 2 - Does anyone know how to use it?
 

well I think the title says it all, Im looking for a good alternative to DVD Workshop since window 7 doessnt support it and it wont do wide screen.

i use it - at a basic level - ie i don't do anything advanced with it. just add a background image, add the menu titles and navigation buttons and leave it at that.

Worksfor me and much less expensive. You can also get a plug in co-processor that makes it run like a scalded ape.

I want to know how to do a first play, then a menu where you can play all, go to another menu a bio (little bonus) and the to an episode list all using custom buttons.

If you are asking about TMPGE, there are various menu options that I believe will provide you with what you want. You can down line load a trial copy at
http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/ and give it a try yourself. They also have various other products dealing with creation and editing of vidos.

none of the ones on PC do any of the things you want that dvd workshop does.

problem is its so outdated you cant do widescreen and it doesn't work on windows 7.

put mac osx on your pc hackitosh and then put final cut studio 3 and use dvd studio pro works like dvd workshop but 1000 times better

like the menus and buttons on the power rangers samurai discs we did? you wont find anything on a PC to do that other than dvd workshop but it wouldnt be widescreen and it wont work on windows 7

i have always used DLP2 for my homebrew projects. i find it easy & straightforward to use. i'll admit i only use a minimal set of features, but enough to get the job done. so i have no complaints about it. i cannot say how it will perform against others as i don't use any other authoring packages. hope you will find it as easy to use as well.

just so everyone knows, DLP2 works on both XP (x32) and Win7 (x64) for me.

konfusion - custom buttons - you can, but there are limits.

i think you can simply create a button "image" - in photoshop, as psd file - then import it into DLP2.

found this guide on using DLP. thought some of you would find it of use.
