UV Light Affects DVDs, Discs?
1 I have a good white box for keep my discs, To protect the UV disks can I keep the disk in some cardboard box of white color? Cardboard box white color reflects light uv on disks or not?
2 Indirect sunlight, led lamp light, fluorescent lamp light in these 3 cases the light degrades the polycarbonate plastic in long term-storage? |
If the box is closed, who cares what color it is?
It could be blue with pink polka dots, and nobody would care -- aside from Smurfette, of course. :) Light can damage clear plastic. It turns opaque over time. Source just determines speed, with sun being fastest. So don't store discs in the sun in an open box. Easy. [88] |
