Sony DVD Architect

This is a nice Authoring tool.

Ulead tends to crash on me. Even with my new hard drive lol.

So I installed this. You have the option to select your output audio as Ac3 5.1 Surround sound :D or Stero.

You can layer video & psd files easily.
all drag n drop. Nothing real complicated about it.

Just take a little getting used to.

It takes less to create a dsc .

I was trying to do video in the background, a transparent LOGO in the front, without looking stretched.

I was doing a DVD for my husbands band.

They wanted the LOGO displaying with vid behind it.

The end result was cool.

Similar to LS X MEN MENU less work lol.

I had an intro clip playing in the Background.
While the "MISFIT TOYS" Logo

In the front . The only visible part was the logo ( none of the black ) , Video, Text.

Like TDA & Ulead. You can select an audio track to play as background music

Create a Normal menu- follow Phils Thumbnail method but...

Just select the entire layer to be transparent.
Keep the second layer visible. ( Show).

Runs smooth on older machines lol.
Easy to use. very flexible . Surround sound optional :)

:D

I've been using Vegas and DVD Architect for about 2 years now CP... love it. (used to be owned by Sonic Foundry before Sony realized it was such a great product)
