Audio Problem

This problem is for another trader, and not for me.. Basically he is having a audio problem when he copys VHS from his DVD/VCR combi to his TV/VCR combi.

On his tapes the audio is fine, but when he copys to another tape the audio is really low. No matter how high he turns the volume up, he still has a low volume on the copyied tape.

Is their any hardware he can use to solve this when he copys VHS to VHS?

He's simply using crappy equipment. That's all there is to it. One of them is likely mono audio heads, likely the tv/vcr combo.

Is their anything he could do improve it or should he just buy a new VHS?

What he needs is two good VCRs, one to play, one to record. And then use good wires between them. To avoid audio issue, make sure both units are HiFi 4-head units, and make sure the wires are gold coated on the end to prevent signal loss. Also be good thick cables to prevent signal leakage and FM interference.
