Digital Media Converter Pro
I read in an archived post on this forum about a program called Digital Media Converter Pro that can remove the copy proofing from videos downloaded from Amazon.com and convert it to mpeg. I downloaded and installed the trial version of Digital Media Converter Pro. When I tried to open a video I bought on Amazon.com, it said that it's unable to open the file because of DRM. How do I convert a video with DRM to MPEG2 so that I can burn it to DVD?

I don't believe the trial version will do it. You have to have the full version of the software.

I bought the full version and it still won't open the video. I was told that it would convert videos with DRM. Specifically, videos downloaded from amazon.com. I will be upset if I just wasted $50. How do I make it work?

I'm not sure what to tell you. I had no problems with it. I have Digital Media Coverter Pro version 2.1.0.0
I just add the file I downloaded to the list by clicking th "+add" button and then chose mpeg2-ntsc as the output at the bottom. Chose a path to save the new file (I'd suggest a different file location than your original) and hit "start". I just downloaded a 3 minute "Chuck" interview and tried it - worked like a charm. What are you trying to convert? Did you purchase them yourself from the computer you are trying to use the software from? |
I'm using version 3.0.0.0. I'm trying to add episodes of Tremors the series that I bought quite a while ago. I downloaded the WMV videos to the same computer that I'm using the software from. I moved them to my external hard drive and I'm trying to convert them from there. I added the videos the same way you did but it won't open.
Here's the message I get when I try to open them. http://www.tvpast.org/forum/picture....&pictureid=135 |
On a lighter note if you ever do get these to work I have some nice menus you could use.

If this doesn't work, I will download them to my Tivo and burn them on my DVD recorder. I have a pic I was going to use for the menu but if you have something better, I would like to use it. Thanks.

That looks great! Would you mind sending me the menus without the words, "War Eagle" down the middle?
Now about the program. Any help would be appreciated. |
I'll fix up a rar file and upload it here.

Can you play them from the external hardrive?

I tried copying one of the videos to it's original location on my C drive and having the Amazon Unbox program open while I tried to convert the video but still no luck. |

I didn't buy it I just made the menus just for the hell of it. I assumed it would be around 3 disc w/4 episodes per disc.

OK. Whenever you can send me the menus is fine.

The videos are converting well. I'm waiting for some cool menus from War Eagle. :)

I just finished the menus today and they have been sent.
