Help with an Old-Time Radio trivia question
Okay, I got a odd question that's been perplexing me for awhile. I play in a big 54-hour long trivia contest (WWSP-FM Stevens Point, Wisconsin) every year and I'm always trying to find out sources for the questions. I'm the team comic book/OTR/classic TV "expert", but occasionally even I can't find the source of a question that's been asked.
This was the question: "This radio prosecutor was surrounded by 14 female adversaries on a daily basis. Because of this the man who portrayed this prosecutor was once called the bravest man in radio. What is the first and last name of this radio actor?" The answer was "Bill Siren." Does anyone out there happen to have a clue as to what radio show this was from? I can't find a reference to it in any of my OTR books and resources, I know I definitely have to find an episode to listen, just on G.P. :-) |
I don't know that I understand what you're asking. You have the question and answer, so what exactly are you looking for again?

He knew the character and not the radio show title
When I type in the passage, it seems to be quoted from this book http://www.powells.com/biblio/61-9780195076783-1 maybe you have it? |
Thought I knew radio but that one stumps me.

I don't know if this is any help, but I typed your question into Google and one link lead to another and I found an actor named William Syran who was in the 1947 movie "13 Rue Madeleine". A subsequent search mentioned that it later aired as a radio program. I couldn't find much after that.
