That is a special direct-to-video special. Probably going to run somewhere between 45 and 90 minutes long. They've been talking about that one for at least a year now.

Oh ok so its not a series ending movie or anything then. So tomorrows ep is the last ep unless it gets picked up by another channel, although I bet thatll be highly unlikely.

There are no other channels. DC is owned by WB. 4KIDS (former Fox Kids or FOX BOX) is owned by WB. Kids WB is owned by WB. WGN and Turner/TNT/TBS is owned by WB. Nothing DC will ever be allowed to exist outside WB.

The only cartoon competitors we have these days are Nickelodeon (and their subs like Nick Toons), and then Disney (who owns ABC, ABC Family too). The days of independent carriers is mostly gone.

G4, Spike, UPN, Comedy Central are really the only place new toons may happen. UPN has mostly given up. Comedy Central I believe is also giving up. Spike gave up. G4 is holding on thinly, attempting to grow, I hope they can pick up a hot property like Robotech and flourish.

But any hopes of DC toons relies entirely with the WB devil.

One more episode next week (Jan. 21) to tie the series up.

I don't get it. If WB owns both Fox and WB. Why is there a rivalry between the Marvel and DC Movies? Since WB owns DC and Marvel is with FOX? I dunno...

Fox sold Fox Kids (aka Fox Box) block of toons to WB. 4KIDS is a WB property. This only applies to current cartoons. The 1990s Marvel shows are currently owned by Disney (for re-run rights), as well as Buena Vista (Disney also) for DVDs. Marvel is owned by a toy company, and they own their own characters. WB owns all of DC, and all DC rights (except a few odd things here and there from the 60s-70s and maybe 80s). Rivalry of Marvel vs DC is as strong as ever.

The only time WB had control over a Marvel toon, that I know of readily at least, was X-MEN EVOLUTION.
