Kids WB to drop aftertoon lineup

The WB will discontinue its weekday Kids WB programming beginning in January 2006, at the request of its affiliates. The network plans to run programming aimed at young adults during the weekday 3:00pm - 5:00pm time-slot. In conjunction with this change, the Kids WB Saturday schedule will be expanded by one hour and will run from 7:00am - 12:00pm

According to yesterday's tvguide.com entertainment news, WB was going to run WB sitcoms during the slot which sounds crazy to me. Reba and Fran in the afternoon?

Well, this is the last week Kids WB has afternoon cartoons.

This is what replaces it in my local market:
2:00pm Starting Over
3:00pm ER
4:00pm 8 Simple Rules
4:30pm 8 Simple Rules
