No Second Wind for "Racer" at Box Office
Iron Man grossed $31.2 million at North American box offices over the weekend, giving it a domestic cumulative of $222.5 million. The film came in second at the box office, behind Prince Caspian, but it outdrew the Narnia sequel overseas with a gross of $25.6 million, lifting its foreign take to $206 million.
Speed Racer, meanwhile, saw its take plunge 59% to $7.6 million in its second weekend in release, giving it a cumulative gross of $29.8 million. The news was no better overseas, where the anime adaptation grossed $7 million for a foreign cumulative of $24.4 million. |
