so, how do i create similar types of stars & stripes background? i searched on google for stars & stripes, but got the american flag! i'd like a photoshop tutorial site if one exists. else, a site that has loads of similar backgrounds that i can download. over... |
its ok. found the answer.
simply a "sunburst" effect in the background. and then the stars is simple enough. case closed. |
I've wonder this myself, but never had time to look it up. (Never pressing issue.)
Thanks for the tip! |
no probs. happy to share.
there are quite a few free photoshop sunburst brushes out there. google around and you'll run into hundreds of them. does your photoshop come with a ready made sunburst shape? then what you could do is: 1) create a canvas 2) then click the sunburst shape to select it 3) then start way outside the canvas, eg top left 4) and end way outside the canvas at the opposite end, eg bottom right 5) if you only want half the sunburst, crop shape in half by starting way outside the canvas, you effectively remove the "tips" of the sunburst shape, ie the sort of elliptical arc parts. there is a tutorial for this somewhere on the net. but blow me down with a feather, i cannot remember the site! |
