Help with DVD/CDR burner
 

My drive has gotten to where it will not open when I press the eject button. It just goes click click click I have to beat the side of it to get it to open. I read a review of a burner on Newegg that said they had the same problem
Does anyone know how to fix this?

The rubber band inside the drive may be stretching as it ages. Or dust got in there, and it's not a sticky rubbery as it should be. This assumes it's a model powered by a rubber band. Some are, some are not.
