A bottle of wine, some strawberries dipped in chocolate, the kids (if any) in bed, and one of these great films can make February 14th feel more like the fourth of July! If the relationship is new or in dating mode, shoot for something romantic. To bump up the passion level in a longer term relationship, put on some lingerie and check out the “sexy” list. With any of these winners, lovers can’t go wrong.
Best Romantic Movies

Amelie. This quirky and artsy French film is like no other. Audrey Tautou plays the intrepid Amelie, a waitress who makes it her mission to help others find happiness and love, including, unexpectedly, herself! There is just enough raciness in the film to make it sexy, but not tawdry. This film is a winner for new as well as established relationships.
Best Romantic Comedies

Romantic comedies are a dime a dozen, but the range of quality is large. Don’t get stuck with boring dialogue, poor chemistry, or ho hum plots. Choose one of these proven winners when it comes to love stories with laughs.
How to Lose a Guy In 10 Days. It’s hard to find a cuter couple than Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. Hudson plays a writer putting together a column on all the things women do wrong in relationships. McConaughey’s her guinea pig. Trouble is, neither one wants to go through with the breakup, no matter how hilariously uncomfortable things get. Best parts: Hudson feminizing McConaughey’s apartment and their musical argument to the tune of “You’re So Vain.”
Fun travel-themed romantic comedies include Only You, where Marisa Tomei travels to Italy to find the prophesied man of her dreams (Robert Downey, Jr.) and French Kiss, where loony Meg Ryan chases after her runaway fiancée to Paris, where she meets a better match instead (Kevin Kline).

Steer clear of 40-Year-old Virgin and Knocked Up, especially in newer relationships. The dialogue is vulgar and can end up being a turn-off.
Best Sexy Movies

Don Juan DeMarco. Fun and sexy without going too overboard, Johnny Depp is irresistible as he plays a man who believes he’s the best lover in the world and has stories to tell about it. The hand-kissing scene is a surefire winner for any woman, any age, any time.
Out of Sight. This is a movie a man’s man can sit through, even if he can’t bring himself to watch some of the more proverbial “chick flicks.” Tension-filled attraction abounds between Jennifer Lopez, a U.S. Marshall, and George Clooney, the man she’s hunting. The steamy bath scene scores extra points.
Of course there are always the passionate movies stand-bys: Basic Instinct and 9 ½ Weeks. Not to mention Dirty Dancing makes for a sexy throwback to the 80’s.
So curl up with that special someone this Valentine’s Day and lose yourselves in imaginary romances. Tender kisses and passionate embraces the way only the silver screen can do them can be a wonderful catalyst for real-life love
