The site has settled enough for me to add a few things, several members have inquired about.

I have had numerous members ask me for an area- to discuss/talk/learn about creating-
Creating menues, creating dvds, creating fonts- and artwork.

What I have outlined is this-

A forum- for now lets call it "creative Corner"

And it would have at least 2 areas-

1- an area for artwork
Artwork of set designers, to see what they are working on, see the menues of their new sets- art they wish to share-
This could also house any other designs they use/develop/create such as jacket covers, labels for discs or packaging.

2-an area to discuss software-
which program works best?
Do you have a program you bought, don't like, want to swap with another- ?
Maybe you got it, don't understand something- and want a crash course-
Maybe you are having editing questions- synch issues

I would like this to be merged or to work cooperatively with the peer to peer section, as places like rapidshare for example are becoming quickly popular for all the right reasons
There is a misconception that all torrenting is bad, or illegal- this isn't the case, and there is plenty to be had out there, for pennies-
And with the compression options, and quality of AVI for example, many members are making their own sets- and many would like to.

So this is an area I would like to advance with-
I would like feedback from users, of what of this sounds good, what should be added and any ideas or questions

We have plenty of storage and space here -to add, feature and explore this-

so lets hear from the community

I'd say go for it. Even though I don't create sets using the computer, and really don't care about having the menus and art on my discs, I'm interested to see what people have to say about it, and I do like to see what people come up with for menus and artwork.

My only nit regarding people discussing set creation is when a user takes a set made by another person - episodes collected often at a personal expense, transferred, extras tracked down, etc. - and slaps a graphic menu on it and claims the set as theirs. It's happened to me a couple of times - couple of years of work on my part, pre-empted by a flash and dash menu added. But honestly, I think that happens less frequently when you've got a focused discussion of the mechanics and art of set creation using software tools.

I love the idea. I'm always asking for advice here. The people here are fantastic and give step by step instructions. Please leave places where we can ask questions about working with different types of media. I always feel bad when I have to bother the whole group with one of my questions. As always,Savage-you're the best! Always coming up with ways of making this a "one stop shop"
