They are going to face a similar problem just like the stupid DIVX format that Circuit City tried several years ago. Slightly different, as this won't stop selling them person to person or loaning them to friends, but this is still stupid. Hopefully consumers will see this and not buy the console, or just use it as a player instead.

well i was going to get a ps3 when it comes out, but if this goes into effect i won't bother. Their are times i can only afford games by getting them second hand at the shops or pre owned. i personally think they will lose out big time if they did that.

It's updated now saying Sony is denying the rumor.So nothing to worry about, I don't think Sony is looking to shoot themselves in the foot like that.There have been several rumors of this kind in the past few months, I wouldn't worry personally all of them have proved to be false.It's always like this when new systems launch, lots of speculation.
