OKay maybe it is just me- but specificlaly in the last 7 years I have paid attention

It always storms, massively the weekends of 4th of July.

Does anyone besides me, think its in direct relation to the amount of fireworks we shoot up into the sky-

It sounds stupid- and I would internet search if I wasn't so lazy.

But its storming here, as per usual the weekend of everyone shooting flaming sparks into the air.

its rains on every Holiday .Or when there is a carnival near by

Why? Because God Has sense of Humor

You count on it to Be a clear day . You get all excited. When you begin. It rains

Just natures way of washing out the stench

It didnt rain. We'd have nothin to complain about

The north part of Texas has been in a drought for about 75 days... until yesterday. It rained for about 12 hours non-stop the morning and afternoon of the 4th. It was a good thing, because officials were far less worried about fireworks starting fires. It was relatively uneventful in terms of fires.

It is believe that fireworks puts a lot of particulate in the air which allows the moisture to attach and accumulate earthward. It is sort of the same theory (actually fact) why the weekends are crummy, but the middle of the week has good weather. Less auto particulate is put in the air on the weekends vs the regular work week. It takes about three days for it to catch up.

Indiana changed their laws.

It is NOW legal to buy and set off firworks from your own private property.

On all days except holidays, from 9 am till 11 pm.
On holidays such as Fourth, Memorial, Labor, New Years, 9 am till Midnight.

The only rules are you have to clean up after the debris
No using public parks, ballparks, streets to set them off.

Other than that, any idiot can blow off ANY size they want in INdiana legally.

So you might notice an incrase of 3 fingered peopel in Hoosierville

(rolling eyes)

It rained here leading up to fireworks displays, then stopped for the displays, then started again right at the end of the fireworks. I was smart and went to Fireworks on Friday before July 4th. Best ones around here anyway
