Its that time of year, that I want to be scared-
turn off the lights and pop in a movie that will make the hair on the back of my neck stand up-
But I have seen so many and most often suggestions from movie stores aren't my thing.

I wrote up the below list to watch or rewatch

The Changeling -

Saw 1 and Saw 2

the original Omen

American Werewolf in London

and Visiting Hours with Lee Remick.

So I thought this might be a good chance to toss some titles around and share some ideas in case anyone else was in the mood..or get some ideas from other fans who might have heard or seen things I haven't thus far.

Juon, or the Japanese version of The Grudge.

I actually dig the original version better.

I cant stand the Japanese versions (not because they are bad but because I am squemish!)

Saw 1 was much better then Saw 2, Saw 2 seemed more like an action flick to me.

The Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, and The Omen are ones I like to watch.

salem's lot did it for me ... but also ruined it for me.
scared the crap outta me. but then i was young(ish).
after that though, no scary film has, well, scared me.

the next closest is when the dead body jumps out of the boat in jaws, but that's more shock than scary.

Its funny you mention something wicked this way comes, I am mid reading that.
I am a huge Ray Bradbury Fan, and found a book with that, Zero Hour, and a few others- so I am midway trough-
The movie can't be as good as this book tho- But I might have to try it.
I was reading up on a few that were suggested here as I hadn't heard of them- Prince of Darkness for example, sounds good- I liek J. Carpenter-

Someone told me to watch GhostWatch?
A show/kinda reality/kinda blair witch thing- might have to try that out too

Halloween.

Just the faceless silent unstoppable killer stalking the teenager with no motive but murder

The rest of the series is good but they just go everywhere with the series.

I've been saying that for the longest time. I want to watch a movie that will actually scare me-not one of those oh that will never happen types.
