Hey Folks,
Tower Records is going out of business. Everything is 10 percent off. I would wait a few more weeks though because even at 10 percent off their outrages prices it is still cheaper to go to Best Buy or something.

I'd heard about this...though I don't think there's a Tower Records near us...Best Buy just opened near here though.

yeah, I heard about the news probably earlier this year too.

It's such a nice place to hang out, but I think i've only bought one dvd from them during my off/on 5 year visit to one of my local stores. Sucks.

I'm surprised they lasted this long. They probably should have bankruptced in the 1990s. They are so outrageously priced, I don't know why anybody would shop there, even when they ran sales.

I used to shop at them all the time for 2 reasons, they were always open till midnight and they had a very large selection of import laserdiscs (which back in the day around 89-94 was very rare for a store in the East coast to have)

But I am surprised they are going out of business, like Bobby said they were always packed but I guess they cant compete with Best Buy anymore, I mean Sam Goody went out of business so it makes sense.

Never been to or seen a tower records store. We use to have an FYE about an hour from here the shut down right after christmas. It was really expensive, but it did have a nice selection of things you couldnt find elsewhere.
