Why by volumes?

I keep noticing dvd releases by volume

Love american style, seaosn 1 volume 1-

smurfs, seaosn 1 volume 1

WHY???

Why not just by season?

konfusion 05-10-2008 12:33 PM

maybe to many episodes?

SavageAmusement 05-11-2008 06:00 AM

Bah I don't buy that- and I won't BUY that.

Smurfs, if they divide it, per volume- It could easily be 27 volumes- pft. thats nuts.

and the smurfs, they have a ton of episodes, but dont' forget a bunch are 5-7 minutes. Where as sitcoms are 22-24 minutes.

Its retarded- there I said it-
I think they THINK they will make more money, but it bothers me- and it puts me off. I simply won't buy it, due to the size and spreading it out is more cost- and that annoys me- plus the WHOLE point of dvd is to take up less space.

(end rant)

sometime after they put it out on volumes then they release it as seasons

konfusion 05-11-2008 07:39 AM

o ok if its that short it dont make sense. but i mean shows that have a lot of episodes and are an hour long. maybe to test the waters. but if the first vol does well they should release seasons after that

It's just a way to get you to buy the s**t twice. [88][88]
