Chat?

Is the new forum going to support a chat room? A lot of people used to chat, but since I've gotten back online I don't see people in chat any more like I used to.

After the other major features are narrowed down, I think I might try and introduce a chat function available only to the CPS usergroup, yes. I have my eye on a piece of software. A lot of what we'll be using here in the future is commercial software, for pay, no more slumming it with freebies that go obsolete in just a few years.

A lot of our chatters have quit visiting CPS, due to life or completion of the collections they set out to get.

Maybe we can create a new crew of chatters, lots of newer members since the "old days" of 2005 when we first left N54.

I had noticed quite a few were absent, not sure for what reasons, but did notice that there were quite a few that don't post anymore, thats sad because its still nice to correspond and talk about our hobby/interests regardless whether you are trading or not. The recession may have had a lot to do with it.

The old forum software lacking in features is part to blame, too -- not enough stuff to hold interest. That's something I aim to fix on this ongoing upgrade to the site.
