Okay, I've heard this song many times on a local radio station that plays R&B music from the 80s and, I would guess, early 90s. It's an instrumental, fairly long, about five minutes probably. For stretches of the song it has a "ping, ping, ping ping ping ping ping ping" sound and then it toots about twice from a flute or a wind instrument.
Does this sound familiar to anybody?

lol try to type sounds is kind of funny. if i could hear u i bet i would know i know this type of music very well. from what you described sounds like a fart lol. no words makes it harder

Nope. The song is quieter, and a bit more in the vein of music from people like Chaka Khan.

hi, you might try contacting the radio station. stations have playlists and/ or playsheets for airtimes. if it is a local dj and not a syndicated program, then they might be able to help you. i called a local station one time about a song i heard and they were able to help me. thanks stoogedog

Okay, I finally, finally found the name of this song. It's Rain Forest by Paul Hardcastle.
