any one know of a free web site that u can get some basic background check of someone? Someone was telling me, you can lean a lot about someone, jhust searching about them. I couldn't find any sites when i looked

The most I know about is a site like http://www.zabasearch.com that lets you find a little more information (sometimes) on people's birthdays/age, addresses, phones (land lines), etc. However, it's not always that accurate. The info they have on me is more than 3 years out of date.

I know somebody with knowledge of this topic -- and I kind of want to know more on this issue myself -- so I've sent her an e-mail, asking she join this site, and write up a little bit about what she knows. What's available for free to the public, maybe even what's available for a low cost (under $100).

Between FOIA and the "Myspace generation", the concept of privacy is fairly humorous.

cant judge everyone from their past. Why dont you just ask the person and hope for honesty instead of being sneaky?

That's all well and good unless you plan on leasing a house to them.
