Is the Sony RDRGX210S a good dvd recorder to get? I can't seem to find a JVC and one of the store staff said this was good to get. I am in serious need of a new dvd recorder now, and need to find out which to get. i defintly need to get one before February.

if this is not a good one, then out of the dvd recorders from this site which is the best to get, i need some options.

Ecost.com has a refurbished JVC DR-M10S for $140. You can't go wrong with this gem.

Sony is not the best choice. The store staff will say anything to move an expensive product that is unpopular and doesn't move on its own. They are very expensive, and they are not the best.

In the UK, a JVC, some LGs, some Pioneers, or some Toshibas would work great. You could do 3 hours on each of them, and use the tuner, and record from tape. The JVC or LG would be the best choices.

Do you want one with or without a hard drive? I do not use hard drive models personally, see no need for them. I record on DVD-RW or DVD+RW and that's that. You don't really want to edit on them anyway if you re-author.

This is my favorite:

If you want some help shopping, give me a list of online sites for local UK stores, if you insist on buying locally only, and not online. I bought my JVC online in May 2004 from crutchfield.com, through the mail. Always been fine.

Well i have no need for a hard drive as i have sky + for that, i always use dvd+rw when i use it. just need one better then my current dvd recorder, especially in regards to quality.

Basically i need a dvd recorder thats multi region, records on memorax dvd's and is better quality then the philips dvdr75 i have got. Also it must be reliable and works.

That link you just gave me, is that a good place to buy it from? If it is i will get it form their, That JVC does looks good.

Here is a few places i can get them from -

www.play.com
http://ws4.richersounds.com/splashpa...3e6fd114c6849b - richer sounds
http://www.dixons.co.uk
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Home.htm

i will look around town today to see if i can find the one you listed.

I don't live in the UK, so of course I've never used them...
...but... digitalempireonline.co.uk seems to have an okay rating online.

I would assume it to be a a safe choice to purchase from.
Business HQ: Greifiars Lane, City Centre, Coventry, CV1 2GY
They also give free delivery on items within the UK, so that's a plus!

If I was in UK, and wanted this JVC, I'd buy from this store.
No worse than anywhere else.

In the USA, I buy things from all sorts of people. I had never dealt with crutchfield.com, but I went ahead and used them to get my JVC, and they were great. Same for 99% of places and people I deal with online. While I would prefer to buy DVD recorders in stores, if what I want is not available, then online I shall go.
