That is what they call it when the disc spins (rather quickly) when you first put it in. No, I'm not using a VCR.

Marcus, that only happens when the drive does not recognize the media or there are other errors with the drive. The drive spinning the disc wildly is not at all normal. It's almost always a crappy disc that causes it.

About the VCR, I jest.

TY 8X-Rs discs-premium! It is really strange, it acts likes it is spinning the disc and then someone puts on the brakes and it comes to a screeching halt. It almost sounds like it is scratching or ripping the disc apart, it really sounds terrible. It does this several times both on reading and writing discs before it will actually start to read or write.


PS- How is the new job going-LS??
